60 ft schooner dragging anchor in Crookhaven

A 60ft schooner with 3 persons on board called for help as she was dragging anchor in Crookhaven today 30 June. The alarm was raised at 15:03 requesting the RNLI Tamar class all weather lifeboat Alan Massey to assist. The lifeboat was within 3 miles of Crookhaven when she was stood down as the Schooner had been made secure with the assistance of Goleen Coadtguard.On board were Coxswain Aidan Bushe, Mechanic Cathal Cottrell, Pat Collins, DiarmuidCollins, Jerry Smith, Ronan Callanan and Brian MacSweeney.
