The inshore lifeboat pagers sounded today at 1318 hrs, the boat was tasked to go to a vessel involved in a man overboard incident. A crewman was airlifted but his boat was still adrift and coast guard wanted it to be recovered. The inshore lifeboat ‘Bessie’ with Youen Jacob helm and crew Tadhg Collins and Micheal Cottrell responded to the callout. Shortly after launch they were stood down as another vessel was dealing with the runaway boat. Big thanks to the launch crew of John O Flynn, Tom Bushe, Cathal Cottrell, John Kearney and Kieran Cotter.
