Congratulations to Brigit Cotter who was presented with a Gold Badge from the RNLI at their annual awards ceremony at the Barbican theatre in London.
The award was presented by HRH the Duke of Kent, in recognition of her voluntary work for the RNLI, and in particular Baltimore Lifeboat Station.
Brigit has been involved with Baltimore RNLI for 26 years, during which time she held various roles within the fundraising committee of the station. Brigit is wife of Kieran Cotter, the long serving coxswain of Baltimore Lifeboat.
Baltimore Lifeboat Station is a busy station with two boats operating from within. People can easily recognize and relate to the roles and the work carried-out by crews of the boats, but for every man and woman in the frontline, there are as many dedicated people in the background, carrying out the many tasks that it takes to run a busy station.
As a crew we would like to congratulate Brigit for all of her hard work and dedication. We would also like to recognize the hard work of our shore crews, the fundraisers, the station management team, and also the community in Baltimore for all of their help and support.
