Lifeboat assists fishing vessel aground Ilen River

The Baltimore Lifeboat was launched yesterday at 19:45pm, under coxswain Ciaran Cotter, to respond to the distress call by the “Venturious”. The 75ft fishing vessel with four crew on board had run aground and was taking in water. The boat which was lying near Inisbeg on the Ilen River was towed off by the lifeboat “Hilda Jarrett”, with the High Tide at 20:30 and without injury.
